In drei Diskussionsrunden zur Bedeutung von Licht in Europa und China werden Schnittstellen und Ergänzungsmöglichkeiten der optischen Technologien und Hardwarefabrikate aus Deutschland und China ermittelt und Strategien diskutiert, wie unternehmerische Interessen mit der Identität der Stadt und der Stadtbewohner in Einklang gebracht werden können.

CITY CULTURE SCIENCE LAB @ Guangzhou // 24 – 26 June 2015
Many cities in today’s globalized information society are facing new challenges in terms of infrastructure, social questions and other complex fields of society. Municipal partnerships are a great opportunity to form regional synergies and competencies. Jena and Panyu / Guangzhou are both cities of light, which are in a continuously exchange and contact. From 24 – 26 June 2015 a CITY CULTURE SCIENCE LAB will be organized together with Goethe Institut Hongkong / China . The aim of the Lab is to design the cooperation for the translocal market from 7 – 11 Oktober 2015 in Jena.
The interfaces and possibilities of optical technologies and hardware brands from Germany and China will be analyzed and strategies will be discussed in three discussion groups concerning the meaning of light in Europe and China. Another focus is to square the enterprising interests with the identity of the city and the citizens.
