Eine minimalistische Lichtinstallation von Florian Licht inszeniert den JenTower als Symbol der Lichtstadt Jena und als Leuchtturm des Ostens. Florian Lichts Kunstwerke bewegen sich an der Schnittstelle von Lichtdesign, Animation und Architektur. Durch die Verwendung schmaler LED-Leuchten wird die besondere Architektur des Gebäudes auch aus der Ferne und während Dunkelheit sichtbar gemacht – und repräsentiert Jena als Lichtstadt und Zentrum optischer Technologien während des Internationalen UNESCO Lichtjahres. Der ‚Leuchtturm‘ wird in einem feierlichen Event am 3. Oktober anlässlich des 25. Jahrestages der Deutschen Wiedervereinigung eröffnet.

LEUCHTTURM

The minimal light installation by Florian Licht stages the JenTower as a lighthouse of the East and as a symbol for Jena, the city of light. Florian Licht’s artworks move between light design, animation and architecture. Thin LED-lights highlight the particular architecture of the building in darkness, making it visible from afar – and bring to light Jena as the city of lights and center for optical technologies during the UNESCO International Year of Light.
